Product Description Wusthof 12.5 X 8-Inch Bamboo Cutting Board - Wusthof 2036
Amazon.com Review Made by German knife manufacturer Wüsthof, this 12-by-8-by-1-inch board is sized for small tasks--such as chopping a handful or ginger, julienning a pepper, or slicing a lemon. Plus, the board is light enough for transferring ingredients from the opposite end of the kitchen to the stovetop. This versatile tool is also reversible, with a cutting surface on either side. The board is branded with the Wüsthof logo. Made of bamboo this kitchen tool will last for years--an occasional application of mineral oil will help keep the wood from drying out. --Cristina Vaamonde

quality board, handy size January 19, 2009 K. Draper (oklahoma) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I received this Wuestof cutting board as a gift, along with some Wuesthof knives and kitchen shears. (if you would like to read my reviews for these items, click on "see all my reviews".) It's a good combo; I only had plastic cutting boards, and the wooden ones better for your knives. Plastic ones (and don't get the really hard ones)are useful for cutting meat, and putting into the dishwasher; but the wood looks nicer. Also,it is made from bamboo, a renewable resource, and not from petrochemicals.
This 8X12 cutting board is just right size for slicing, dicing and chopping up a few veggies. The Wuesthof 4.5 inch "multi-prep cook's knife" works very well for this. The Wuesthof logo is imprinted on the front side, but I don't see "Emeril" on it anywhere. The back side of the board is a cutting board, too, but it also has four rubber "feet" which add stability when used right-side-up. Groves on either side provide easy hand-holds. Flip it right-side up, pair it with a cheese knife, and you're good to go for serving cheese.
Good price/value. Treat it well--don't use the dishwasher or serrated knives, condition it with mineral oil from time to time. Highly recommend.
Wonderful Little Board March 28, 2009 Kyle J. Duke (Nashotah, Wi) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful board. It's the perfect size to keep in my bedroom at college but for any serious cooking you'll want something larger. I treated it with bamboo oil from crate & barrel which has done well to maintain its appearance. It also allows me to clean it by just using a damp paper towel. I wouldn't suggest putting this or any other cutting board through a washing machine as another reviewer did. Can't beat this board for the price.
Great Cutting Board September 12, 2009 Larry Crouch (kentucky) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Got this and a set of knives for my wife and she loves it. Small and light weight but big enough to do all she wants / needs to do. Really like the bambo material as i am from the carpentry trade.

Perfect companion size to the chefs knife we ordered for our daughter for Christmas. And what could be better than free with purchase!
Wusthof quality all the way! November 18, 2009 KitchenKrazy 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Very good quality cutting board. Just the right size to store and use for everyday use.
The board is coated just enough where the smell of the previous veggie does not transfer into the board. I've been using it for several months now, and there is no smell to it whatsoever! There are some minor knife marks though, as expected, but nothing close to the amount of carving with the other wooden and plastic boards.
Oh and the "clink clink" sound that it makes every time the knife hits (because of the bamboo) makes you feel like a pro in the kitchen!!!
